Smartphone devices increasingly difficult to support

Smartphones can make your life easier and the growth in their usage is well known. Last week we reported on how IT managers were having difficulty integrating (or not) non-company issue smartphones into the corporate environment. This week we report that it isn’t just the IT managers having the problems, network operators are struggling to provide the capacity necessary for today’s devices. New smartphones are continually communicating with the network, even when they are not in use. David Bailey from Computing interviewed Vodafone CTO Jeni Mundy about the issue.
