The Enterprise Architecture & Systems Engineering Programme is a community research programme focused on the key issues of technology strategy, deployment and management in complex organisations in both the public and private sectors.
The EA-SE Programme seeks to define a:
- Modern and common language to the management of an organisation's IT assets
- Customer-driven understanding of legacy exploitation, rejuvenation and/or renewal
- Compliance-driven understanding of security and risk management
- Right-size approach to building in-house EA and SE capability and capacity, defining the career path from technician to Chief Technology Officer
- Clear understanding of the leadership role of the CTO and their team of architects and engineers in enabling organisational effectiveness
This will be achieved through a programme of ten one-day workshops being held between June 2007 and March 2008.

EA-SE is run by the National Computing Centre in association with IET.
